The Goddess Saga  A skald inspiring the warriors.  Germanic warriors storm into battle. Ahead of them,  a Valkyrie rides leading the way.     Another battle-maiden, already on the field, tends to the wounded. Another ascends to Valhalla, carrying a fallen hero on a shield. Hermod and Bragi welcome the new Einherjar.   Bragi introduces a hero into Valhalla, where Odin sits on his throne. On his right,  Idun holds the apples of immortality and beside her stands Frigg, Odin's wife.   Feasting in Valhalla on the best of meats and drink.  Until the day Heimdall blows the Gjallarhorn calling the Einherjar into battle for the last time.  Odin goes to meet the Fenris Wolf and Thor faces the World Serpent.  Giants join the battle against the gods. The Frost giants arrive in the ship Nagalfari followed by Surt and his fire demons.      Surt hurls fire to the earth.  Only the three Norns survive.
These three giant maidens conclude the frieze.
